Ryan's Card

My 5 year old Son went to a Birthday party today, so this morning out came the stamping gear, pencils, inks and cardstock.
I stamped the image on the front for him. I used StazOn in jet black as we were using Faber castell water colour pencils, not that we added the water but it is a good fast drying ink, so no smudging.

Ryan then set to work doing the colouring. The space at the bottom was left for the "Happy Birthday" but when I came inside from hanging out the washing....he had stamped the inside himself! He didn't do too bad a job I think, Ok well not lined up and a real mixed up card...but he is only 5!

The end results, front and inside. He was quite pleased with how it turned out, and pleased he had done some stamping himself.

paper Bag Mini Album

I have almost finished my paperbag album I have been working on amongst other projects! It has 12 pages in total, 6 of each size plus 4 pull out pages. The large page is 12.5cm X 20cm while the smaller pages are 10cm X 20cm. I used 4 paper bags which started out at 20cm X 25cm. I then scored, folded and trimmed the bags, glued together, painted the edges gold then added the cardstock. The cardstock I used was the Duchess Collection by Kaisercraft. I then cut it to 12cm X 19.5cm and 9.5cm X 19.5cm, this allows you to show off a little of the paint.

These are two of the pullout pages which I thought I would enter for a challenge for GPP Street Team, Crusade No 41 on Gridlock. I prefer the one on the left with the gaps.

The finished mini. Once i had uploaded these photos I realised my camera battery must have been a little flat and the flash had not been working too well. All I have to do now to complete it is add my photos and embellishments. Once all that is done I can then do the cover. I leave that till last so I know how wide to make the spine.

Support a WAHP interview

I am very excited about the interview that We won for referring the 3700th fan for Support a WAHP, they ran a competition on their facebook fan page, and I referred that magical number fan. So the result of that was a free interview that Katie and I did. Loire Valley BTP Kit

I just listed some new BTP (beyond the page) kits online

Over the long weekend I plan to start working on the Loire Valley kit. It contains a BTP bird house, 6 X 3 double sided pages 18 pages in total, that should keep me busy for a while! The kit also contains Alpha stickers, Die cuts, Epoxy brads, Embroidered badges, Rubons in colour and black & white and a clear stamp set. All of these products each come packaged in the new style zip lock packaging Kaisercraft recently released. They are each designed to suit the Scrapbook paper storage unit. There is also a 12 X 12 size zip lock bag to store your papers in...no more dog ear corners. Now you can store your papers and embellishments from each release in one place. I will post photos and steps at a later date to show the completed project.

Name Plaques

Recently some friends moved into their new home and I made some name plaques to go on the children's bedroom doors.

There are several steps to a project like this, first I painted the edges of the wooden plaques and the large letters, after giving them a light sand. If you need to add more than one coat of paint you may need to sand between coats. I then cut out the paper, added the embellishments and letters. The letters are inked onto card stock on the first one and painted on the second and third. I then cut each letter out by hand and mounted with magic mount.

As the first one had quite a short name i though I would add a flower, and as I didn't have one the right size or colour I inked a white one and added some watered down gold paint then folded in half with the yellow one and attached them with a 2cm brad. The gold paint also helped blend it in to the pink and gold wash...read on.

Originally I had decided i was going to give the crackle paint one more go...i don't have any luck with it!  And nor did I this time, so in the end when it didn't "crackle" I made a paint wash if you like, watered down gold paint over the top of the pink and black paints. In the end I was quite happy with the result. The last step is to glue or stick it all together. Doing this step last allows you to use brads or other types of embellishments that need to go through the printed paper or card stock base.

Hello and welcome to my blog, My name is Tracy Rullo and as the name suggests I have a passion 4 papercrafting.
The aim of my blog is to keep you all up to date with my latest crafting.
But first a little about myself and my craft. I began scrap booking around 7 years ago after being invited to a creative memories party. From there i played for around 6 months, the opportunity then came up for me to become a consultant with "crafty kids" now know as Kaszazz. While with Kaszazz my craft goodies stash and tools grew and I caught the bug for Stamping and Card making. I would say i now stamp and make cards more than i do scrap. I like to do beyond the page projects and mini books, but really should get back to the scrapbooking...I have lots of photos printed and waiting to be put in to scrapbooks. A friend once joked with me and said "you have so much stuff you should start a shop" well guess what i did just that!  I now run an online store in partnership with Katie. We are Art and Craft Supplies
We have been operating for two years and just finished up our storewide sale. Not only do we sell online but we also attend local markets such as the Barmera Main Street Markets, and last weekend we were at the Mammoth Monash Market. The Barmera Markets are on this weekend from 9am to 2pm and will be the last for a few months. They have a break over the winter months and return in October.
