Another Card Challenge

As most would be aware I like to participate in a challenge and one I have been doing (and don't think I will stop) is one held by Jodie from Riverland Kaszazz Scrapbooking. Kaszazz products will always hold a place in my papercrafting heart. I used to be a Kaszazz consultant! way back when they were crafty kids, and a little during the change over to Kaszazz.

So these are the products we all start with. We can only use inks, stamps and punches to create a card.

So here is how I went about creating my card.

The punch I used was the large Retro Flower punch by EK Success

I layered the flowers, the brad was only to hold the flower together while the glue dried. All the edges are inked with Charcoal color box chalk ink.I had to punch a mini flower to add to the center and as I had used all the cardstock I punched it out where it was going to be covered then stuck down...no one need know. Well only all of you now reading my secrets! Lol

The stamped image is not the entire stamp, think outside of the box, and only ink up the part of the image you need.

And the completed card! to get the petals of the flowers to pop I rolled them on a paintbrush after sticking them together, it is much easier to do BEFORE you stick together, and I did so with the later ones I made.

I loved the design of the card so much I used it on a few others such as this one. it is more a note/gift card style and is 10.5cm square.

Craft Swap Part 2

As most of you would have seen in a previous blog post I participated in the contemporary handmade alliance craft swap. I have shared with you the items I swapped with my partner, Anna from King Billy so now I need to share with you all what Anna sent to me :)

Isn't she just so cute? It's a wheat heat bag! I love the label...oh and look even a purple safety pin!
I read somewhere on Anna's page that in 2 month's she has used 20kg of wheat! That's a lot of heat bags!
Also included in my parcel was a tie died brooch and a stunning piece of artwork, I am going to frame it and hang it in my craft corner, which is creeping into the lounge!

If you ever have the chance to participate in a craft swap I would recommend going with a well run one. This is the second one I have done and have been very happy with it. More than I can say for last years, but that's another story, and one I would prefer not to share!
